Million Dollar Retirement Plan

Company's are saying that they would give a person a million dollars to retire. That sounds good but it comes with some rules to. They are that you have to either pay off your house or go out and buy a new one. Also you have to buy an American made car with your money. You are also not ever aloud to have another job.

In my opinion, I wouldn't take the deal. I rather have a steady income instead of alot of money at one time. I would be to tempted to spend it. I also don't believe that a person could live off a million dollars of several years. It seems like a lot of money but after so many years it would get really small.

In Rome, authorities arrest a man that tried to smuggle cocaine through oranges. He was a 78 year old Dutch Man. At first he tried to tell the cops that he need his vitamin C, but later they came to figure out that vitamin C meant cocaine. Cops say that the drugs would have had a street value of 11.6 Million. He was arrested on International drug trafficing.

This man is not very smat. He is 78 years old and now he s going to spend his last years in prison. The fact that he threw away his life just to sell cocaine is stupid. All that money that he got, isn't going to do him any good in prision.

Paraguyan President (Week 14)

Fernando Lugo, the president of Paraguy, was hit with a second paternity claim. A women claims that he fathered her child. This happened after the president acknowledged that he had fathered nother womans child. All of this was done while he was a Cathilic Bishop. Fernando did not answer the claim, but he did say that, " he is ready to act always in the line of truth."

This man went against a faith that held him in one of the highest positions. He fathered a child, possibly two while he was a bishop. What he did went against the basic rules of becoming a priest. What he did was wrong, but on the other hand he admitted that he was wrong and said that he would take full responsibility of the child. Not saying that what he did was right, but I don't understande why a Catholic man that wants to be a Priest can't be married. If he loves God and loves his family there should be no problem. The Catholic faith believes in a family in which there is a father and a mother that love each other and have children and raise them to love God. Why shouldn't a Priest be aloud to share that same experience? I believe that a priest should get both, a family and be able to be a priest.

Couple tries to Cremate Son on Grill

A couple in Detroit, Michigan admitted to killing their 2 year old son and trying to cremate his body on a grill. The judge sentenced 29 year old Joseph Miller to 22-50 years in prison. 25 year old Nickella Reid got 10-15 years in prison for involuntary manslaughter. The cops found the boys remains when they were investigating a 2007 scalding incident of Joseph and Nickella one year old son. Joseph and Nickella continued to collect welfare checks for their son.

I believe that these two people should get but in prison for the rest of their lifes. They took the life of a 2 year old that had his whole life ahead of him. I believe that when someone takes so-mebody elses life, for no reason, they should have to pay a harsh punishment. I don't believe that even 50 years is enough for the Joseph.

13 year old drives to Texas for Rodeo

A thirteen year old from Virgina stole his parents car so that he could go to Texas for a rodeo. He brought along with him a dog and two horses. He had to drive over 1000 miles to get there. He did make it safely to the rodeo but was then found by police there.

In my opinion I think that it was crazy for the kid to attempt that but it was also crazy that the parents were not around to stop him. I mean it had to take him a long time to get that all set. The parents would have to have been gone or just completly clueless. I believe that the parents are at more fault here then the kid is.

Racism Study

In a study done by the TV show, What Would you Do, a women was kicked out of a high end store because she was black. They had actors playing the people that worked at the store, but the people that were actually shopping were not filled in on the experiment. Many of the people around listened in to the conversation, but did not say anything to the manager, even though she was treating the girl awful. One man, however, did voice his opinion, and was so angered by it, left the store. The majority of the people did not try to help the girl ande ven one guy agreed with the manager saying that she was, " going to play the black card."

In my opinion, I believed that its was terrible that they would treat that girl like that. No one should ever be treated like that, ecspecially when they were doing nothing wrong. I would have steped in and said something. If I was that person I would hope somebody would come to my defense. It was her word against the word of the manager and the security guard, she was never going to win.

Man gets arrested for going 110 mph

A man on Tuesday was arrested for reckless driving because he was clocked going 110 mph on the highway. 23 year old Everett says that he was trying to get home to bid on a Star Wars action figure. It took officers in an air unit to bring him down. When they asked him why he didn't pull over when the cop started to follow him, he said that he couldn't see the several cop cars that were following him. Police said that he has a long list of traffic violations and that he will be spending a couple nights in jail.

In my opinion, it was bad that he was going 110 mph on the highway; he could have seriously injured someone or even killed someone. Why he was speeding was crazy, he was trying to get home and bid on an action figure that was not the least bit important. He put getting that action figure over the other people's safety on the road. He made a careless decision and he should have to pay for it, so next time he will think twice before going that fast and putting other people in danger.
